Lately, coconut water has been getting the attention of almost everyone, especially in the health industry. It totally deserves to be on the spotlight because it is very good for you, containing more potassium than four bananas. It is very hydrating. Thus, it deserves to be called the best sports drink. It contains easily digested carbohydrate in the form of sugar and electrolytes. Electrolytes is the key to keeping your body hydrated because it has the right amount of fluid and minerals. This is probably the best thing you can drink before, during, and after workouts (after water).
The demand for coconut water is increasing due to its fame and today’s health craze. Luckily, many brands have been coming out with their own coconut water. I have probably tasted almost all of the brands that are out there. Of course, nothing can beat the real thing (straight from the fresh coconut). But if you are looking for a portable, easily accessible coconut water, you should try Harmless Harvest.
By far the best packaged coconut water I have tasted is from Harmless Harvest. It is really the closest thing to the water from the fresh coconut.
This coconut only lasts about 2-3 weeks in your fridge because it is raw, not heated, and has no harmful additives. It is not processed and is sourced from small organic agro-forestry farms.
I am in love with this coconut water and I don’t think I can ever going back to purchasing other brands. It definitelyGiv tastes stronger and sweeter. When I first tried this product, the water content in my bottle turned pink and my husband’s stayed clear. So I almost threw mine away, thinking there was something wrong with it. Thankfully, I read the back of the bottle, which says that pink Harmless coconut water means higher level of antioxidants. Just making this clear, when they package their bottles, coconut water is clear. It is only afterwards that some bottles turn pink. So if you get a pink bottle, it means you got lucky because your bottle has more antioxidants than the other ones
Harmless Harvest brand of coconut water is a bit more expensive than the other brands. But I think it’s definitely worth its price. Its price seems to be fair because the company is sourcing Organic coconuts from Thai agroforestry, paying fair wages, and using cutting edge processing techniques to maintain the raw flavor, aroma and nutrition of a freshly cracked coconut.
I believe that what I put in my body is an investment. Better to spend little bit more on a better source of food.
