I love trying all natural skincare products because they really make a difference. I was very excited when I heard about Dew Puff and couldn’t wait to try them!
Isn’t it adorable? I love that the sponge is a water droplet shape!
Dew Puff facial sponges are made from the konjac root, which is 100% vegetable fiber. Konjac has an ability to break down dirt and promote circulation, which helps to prevent breakouts and acne. There are three different Dew Puffs: Original, Asian Clay, and Bamboo Charcoal. Original Dew Puff only has one ingredient, which is konjac. It can be used with or without a cleanser. Bamboo Charcoal and Asian Clay are recommended to be used by itself because using cleanser can diminish the benefits of the Dew Puff. Asian Clay is high in minerals and Bamboo one has activated carbon and antioxidants!
Why did I love it? It was soft and gentle on my skin. There is no chemical involved at all and all you need is water. You soak up your sponge until it gets very soft, and then use it like you are exfoliating. You would simply move around the sponge in a small circular motion. What I noticed right away was the softness of my skin after I used Dew Puff. Also, there was NO pressure whatsoever when I was moving the sponge in a circular motion, which is very important because you don’t want to stress out your skin by scrubbing really hard. I heard from a skincare specialist that even when you are washing your face, you have to do it lightly, your hands barely touching your face. When you are done using the Dew Puff, you have to make sure that you squeeze out all the water, dry it completely, and then hang it by the string.
One of the best part about Dew Puff is that it is not one time use product. It can be used for about three months (when used twice daily) if it is correctly cared for. If you notice a tear or wear, that’s when you know it is time to replace it. But you don’t have to throw it away because old Dew Puffs can be “recycled” because you can use it to clean pottery, metal, and other things. How great is that?
You can even sanitize Dew Puff by either boiling it for 2min or in the microwave for 1min. Don’t go past any of the recommended time when you are sanitizing them. Also, remember to have the sponge cool down before using it!
