Goood morning, everyone! I can’t believe we only have about a month and half of 2011. Time goes by so fast. This year has been really great for me. I learned and changed a lot in a good way. After graduating from college, I got to think a lot what I am really passionate about in life. You can say that I discovered another part of me! Moving to a place with my husband also gave me another perspective in life. Life isn’t worthwhile if it’s only about me. I feel the happiest when I see that people who I love feel happy because of what I do for them. I also discovered that I love going to yoga studio rather than doing it by myself in my room. The atmosphere of working out with others really give me a lot of motivation and fun!
The winter is cold and I am always freezing but cozying up with my hubby really makes it better 
Last winter, I lived by myself going to school down in LA. But now that I am with my hubby and many friends (I moved near to my hometown area), I feel so much better and warm!
Today’s review comes from what I am so passionate about: yoga! These yoga mats below are from Aurorae. Don’t you just love that name?

Aurorae Northern Lights Yoga Mats have very nice colors. I got the orange red one, which reminds me of the sunrise!!! so beautiful. They have 5 different colors that you could choose from.
This mat is very durable and even though at first it was slippery, the mat (using non slippery grip) got better and better every time I used it! =D I also use a little towel on top of it just in case that I slip.
I also love their yoga bags! They made them using recycled jeans!! beautiful for yoga mats and for environment too! Love it!

How did you spend your 11/11/11? Did anything special happen? Did you make a wish at 11:11 AM or PM? I am really superstitious, which I inherited from my mommie. lol. I didn’t get to wish anything because in the AM, I was helping a friend to cook 6course meal. Then in the PM, I was watching a movie (it was horrible, so we left halfway) with hubby and friends. But I am still happy because I was with my love at the exact moment! heehee

LoveSac specializes in BEANBAGS! These sacs come in different sizes and shapes to fit the different needs of people. They can be used for movies, reading, work, relaxing, and even napping!
They sent me this awesome slippers. This is super comfy and soft. My feet just melted away in comfort when I put them on.

This is super warm too. The co-op I live here in Berkeley gets really cold during the winter and especially at night. It makes it harder to get out of bed or room… But, these slippers are so inviting!
I was given the white color. It totally reminds me of SNOW! They are simply adorable, warm, cozy, and comfortable. All I need for winter, right? 
These are delightfully crispy, fluffy, and tasty!
They remind me of regular rice crispy but with more added flavor such as chocolate or peanut butter. They are whole grain that provide essential nutrients for growing kids. They are made for kids, but I believe that adults and students can enjoy them too as yummy snacks. My favorite was Chocolate chip with crunchiness of the chocolates throughout the bar. Another bonus to them is that they are organic! This insures that the ingredients deliver maximum and best nutrients to our bodies. Organic ingredients are metabolized by our body faster and more efficiently.

Good evening everyone!
I came to a conclusion that I need to make drastic changes to this blog in order to make progress and positive improvements. I feel like I’ve been making excuses so that I don’t feel bad about not updating or posting a review on this blog. I also feel that I need to make this more personal, especially if I want to make it unique and ultimately “mine”. Reviews and giveaways are nice but I know that there are no “heart-to-heart” sharing between the readers/subscribers and the writer (myself). I am really sorry if this have made you walk away from this blog after reading one or two or three posts. I definitely saw that the number of subscribers or viewers dramatically decreased over the couple of months when I lacked in detailed posts. I want to apologize for this. I am going to do something about this, whether it is writing more personal writings or putting up pictures or more tasty recipes, etc. I know this change is going to take time. I can’t promise that this will happen overnight. I can’t promise that I will be bringing fabulous or life changing recipes that other bloggers bring to you (they inspire me so much but I am not as talented… i hope i can improve though!). However, I am going to try my best to make An Apple A Day unique and special to my heart and hopefully to you as well.

Btw, I attended Foodbuzz Festival this past weekend and it was a very good experience. First night was a bit awkward because I didn’t know anyone there. I brought my husband along… and I was sorry that he had to suffer through the awkwardness that night too. We felt that we were out of the picture but this was partly due to our fault because we didn’t make the effort to really make friends. On Saturday though, we made friends and talked about very interesting topics. We enjoyed ourselves through people AND food. I am very glad that I was given this opportunity to attend the festival. I really hope I can attend again next year (honey, you should start that coffee blog soon!

These bars are perfect combination of savory and sweet.
These are free of wheat, gluten, dairy and soy. However, there are nuts (if you’re allergic to them). The honey is the main source of sweet, which also do not make them vegan. Coconut flakes also add nice touch of sweet as well. Nuts and sea salt add the saltiness/savory side to the bar. I enjoyed them but I am not a huge fan of coconut flavor. I loved how I was able to see the chunks of huge almonds and cashews! Another downside was that I couldn’t really tell the difference in flavor between the three. I couldn’t detect rosemary flavor as much as I hoped in the Rosemary bar. But that doesn’t mean they didn’t taste good because they were delicious!!! These bars are infused with vanilla, which I loved and adored at the same time

This product’s background idea is awesome because it is trying to help with ppl’s digestion. However, I am not fond of ingredient silica, which is included in this product.
I didn’t try the meal replacement either. However, my friend tried it for me especially since she is a busy girl who usually doesn’t pack any food! She ends up always buying meals at restaurants/cafes OR doesn’t eat until dinner. She is always starving by the time she sits down to eat.
After trying this replacement meal, her sugar level hasn’t had much of ups and downs. VERY stable now because she isn’t super hungry before dinner.
She loves the chocolatey flavor and how convenient it is for her to bring in her purse. she just mixes with cool water or milk and carry it around with her
