PURE Giveaway #3

One of my favorite bars out there are Pure bars. They are on my top list because they are YUMMY, organic, raw, and made of whole foods!

I’ve done two giveaways of Pure Bars and today I bring you number three!

Veronica was an angel and sent me their NEW designed-packaged bars to use as giveaway prizes for my wonderful readers.

I adore the new-designed wrappers because they really represent their bars: simple and pure!

No worries though, because the ingredients are the same. Pure Bars are made from certified organic ingredients and are gluten-free, vegan, raw, kosher, and entirely delicious.

There are still 6 great flavors: Apple Cinnamon, Chocolate Brownie, Trail Mix, Cranberry Orange, Wild Blueberry, and Cherry Cashew.

I love Larabars (with wide range of flavors) and other raw bars (like Amazing Grass and MacroLife) out there. However, Pure Bars really keep me satisfied until my meal time. I think this is because of the awesome protein content of the bars. Pure Bars have rice protein added!

Compared to other bars, I think Pure Bars are more fruity. The Trail Mix is great with crunch from the cacao nibs. Chocolate Brownie is definitely a winner with awesome dark chocolate! Apple Cinnamon has chunks of dried apples. Wild Blueberry is bursting with aroma of blueberries. Cherry Cashew has the tartness I adore. Cranberry Orange is so lovely with sweetness from the orange flavor.

Do you want to try these awesome bars?

  1. bonk breaker bars are one of my faves, and i don’t think you’ve ever reviewed them?

  2. taste and simple ingredient lists are what i look for in a bar, but also the ability to satisfy is important!

  3. kayla

i look at the nutritional value of the bars i purchase…but they also have to be tasty!

  4. kayla

have you tried wai lana’s yogi bars? they’re raw fruit and nut bars!

  5. Have you tried the Dr. Weil bars? The Chia Razz is my favorite! I’ve also been loving the Raw Revolution bars lately

  6. I usually look for a short ingredients list (or if it’s long it should be superfoods like the Amazing Grass bars), and flavor!

  7. Yin

The main thing is taste. After that, it’s nutritional value. I guess it’s kind of bad that I look at the ingredients third but at least I still look at it! :D

  8. runRedrun

I really like the bumble bars. There are also some bars made locally by a company called Oskri that are pretty tasty.

  9. runRedrun

My main criteria is taste, followed by ingredients.

  10. taste, ingredients, price, and calories. i’ll link back tonight!

  11. I don’t think you’ve ever reviewed the Pom bars? They’re delicious and pretty simple

  12. kelsey

i love ITK bars! they’re raw, vegan, and sooooooo good!

  13. kelsey

i like texture and spicy-ness. the more cinnamon, the better!

  14. In order: ingredients, taste, nutrition then texture.

  15. Hm, have you reviewed Pro bars? They’re really dense, but tasty.

Key factors in a bar: Ingredients/nutrition, filling-factor, taste, crumbliness (i.e. bad)

  18. Keegan

Ever reviewed/tried the purefit bars? I love the berry almond and the chocolate brownie. Great protein source and hold you over well.

  19. JW

I look for nutritional value and ingrediants first.

  20. Ellen

have you tried the Zing bars? they’re SO good, and gluten & soy free. http://www.zingbars.com/

  21. Ellen

i first look to see if a bar is gluten free, since i can’t eat gluten. then i check the ingredients. i prefer whole food bars with simple labels.

  22. Ellen Clifford

I put this up on my twitter:

I am not a bar expert so I cannot say I have any bars to recommend, but if you need protein shake recommendations, I’m the one to ask! What intrigues me in a bar(or shake)is generally anything involving chocolate and peanut butter. Texture is important. I like something I can sink my teeth into, but that is not chewing-gum-sticky…

  23. Have you ever tried Kardea Bars? Or Simply Bars? Vega Bars? All of them are really good! The Simply Bars are pretty cool because they taste good AND have a ton of protein – think 16-18g depending on the bar.

  24. When eating bars the main thing I look for are good, healthy ingredients. If I approve of the ingredient list then I’ll buy it and the next thing I look for is taste.

  25. Have you tried 18 Rabbits bars? I’ve only recently discovered them and their clever flavors.

  26. I look for whole foods in the bars I buy.

  27. Emily N.

Have you tried the Bora Bora Wild Pomegranate Pecan Superfood Organic Bars. They’re so good!

  28. Emily N.

I look for nutrition like fiber, protein, monounsaturated fats, etc. but it also has to have natural ingredients that aren’t GMOs.

  29. these look good! have you done bumble barS?

  30. i look for fiber content, texture, then flavor!

  31. Jos

Have you tried Boomi Bar/Prana bars? they’re gluten free, soy free, vegan and mostly raw. I’ll link back later today

  32. Jos

I look for the ingredients, price, and taste!

  33. Vanessa

The first thing I look at is nutrition. I try not to buy too many processed foods except for….ice cream (my addition). Then I look at the cost, size of the bar, and of course how it tastes.

  34. izzy

I think first and foremost, I look for flavour. I don’t care how “good for me” it is – if it tastes like a piece of wood, I won’t eat it! A close second – if not tie for first – is nutrition. This girl loves her fibre, protein and GOOD fats!!! :D

I’ve never had a Pure Bar so I defs wanna try it!

Not sure if you’ve ever reviewed them, but I’m a fan of “The Simply Bar” – I recently picked one up on sale and will definately be hunting those soon! “Bumble Bars” are also a very big love of mine ;)

  37. i love bars that have the least amount of ingredients! I love larabars for this, but the flavors seem to all blend at some point. I love a good crunch in bars too. Mmm

  38. rachel

I always look at the ingredients, and nutrition information, I don’t like bars with too many calories. great flavor and texture are important, and minimal ingredients. I like the pure bars a lot, they’re really good!

  39. Flavor is key! Texture is close second..I love Pure bars and the new packaging is rockin’!

  40. Flavor and ingredient are what is most important to me and my family.

I dont think Ive seen a review of ultimate plus bar from Mrs. May’s (its pretty hard to find but my dad got it from somewhere!)

  43. Sally.H

I think good recognizable ingredients are key to food bars ( or any other foods!)

  44. Junghwa! Thank you so much for the awesome review and giveaway! I LOVE this blog :)

Also another difference between Larabars and Pure Bars is that Pure Bars are certified organic and Larabars are not organic at all!

    Have a beautiful day :)
