I hope you guys like Namaste Foods (Gluten Free!) Giveaway that went up last week. The winner was chosen and I’ve already sent her an email!

I never mentioned this before but I’ve stopped posting the winner’s name on the blog. This is due to anonymous visitors who make very disturbing and cruel comments about them. When the winners were fellow bloggers, these anonymous commentors went to their blogs and left very mean notes. Thus, I’ve decided to STOP posting the winners’ names in protection for my readers and participants of the giveaways. Please understand!!!

Anyways, this post is dedicated to Namaste Foods!

I got to try two of their products while I was staying at my mom’s: Muffin Mix and Biscuits Mix

I don’t have muffin pan so instead of muffins, I turned them into pancakes! I wish I could have taken pictures because they turned out SO PRETTY! It was perfect brown color, being crispy outside and very very very soft inside. I loved them with banana slices and blueberries. Thinking about them makes me want them again!

They are WHOLE GRAIN made of Sweet brown rice flour, brown rice flour, tapioca flour, arrowroot flour, rice milk powder, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, xanthan gum, and ground vanilla bean.

Biscuits, Piecrusts & More product is made up of Sweet brown rice flour, brown rice flour, tapioca flour, arrowroot flour, sorghum flour, rice milk powder, cream of tartar, xanthan gum, baking soda and salt.

Maybe it’s my tastebuds but these two products tasted the same! Haha, I mean the ingredients are very similar!

I used the Biscuit product to make crust for a very easy pumpkin pie. I added in olive oil and little bit of agave. Then spread the mixture into the pie sheet and baked it at 375F for 15min. Then, I put in my pumpkin mixture (pumpkin puree, agave, and carob chips!!!) and baked for another 30min. I think next time, I’m going to try making pot-pies. I’ll definitely have to look for Namaste Foods products in stores. I would love to try Perfect Flour and their Pasta products.

What are some of your favorite brands for baking ingredients?

SkinnyWater sent me wonderful products to review!

Their drinks have no calories or sugar.

The Skinny Water® Creation Process

It’s the water that’s skinny! Creation of Skinny Water® starts by being stripped down to the basics. Our super purified water goes through the reverse-osmosis and hot-fill process, eliminating impurities and the need to add preservatives. After this we add in our key nutrients, which ensure the freshest, healthiest, best-tasting water possible.

Get Hydrated

Skinny Water is the perfect beverage choice for hydration, regardless of your activity. We add a unique combination of electrolytes (calcium, magnesium and potassium) to all Skinny Water® products to promote hydration, helping your body to perform its very best.

Electrolytes are ionized minerals that have a charge and conduct electricity. This charge is essential to enable water and other molecules to pass in and out of your cells and expedite hydration. (from website)

There are 6 different flavors and I was surprised to find them tasty! my favorite one was Lemonade Passion Fruit:

Key Nutrients:

  • Vitamins B3, B5, B6, B12 + C – energy, mental clarity and whole body vitality
  • Vitamin A – essential for the eyes, as well as skin and immune system replenishment
  • Vitamin E – boosts red blood cell and muscle development
  • Magnesium + Folic Acid – help absorb calcium for bone health and energy production

Key Metabolizers & Electrolytes

  • EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) – an antioxidant found in green tea. Because of its ability to enhance the body’s use of calories to generate heat and energy, a process called thermo genesis, EGCG has also been linked to improvements in weight maintenance.
  • Calcium – builds strong skeletal system.
  • Potassium – helps maintain cellular hydration.
You can find this product at Target, Albertson’s, Giant, Wegman’s and more!
