Maison Le Grand

Visit Maison Le Grand for wonderful recipes for vegetarians and NON-vegetarians as well!

They make wonderful tapenades, aromatic sauces, and pestos.

- Artisanal product
– Highest quality natural ingredients
– Freshly made every week
– No added sugar or preservatives
– Environmentally-friendly
– Extraordinary vivid colors
– Fresh pure taste
– Full texture and non-oily consistency
– Raw
– Loaded with all their complete natural vitamins

They have three different pestos: Garden Pesto, 4 Nuts and Cheese, and Sun-dried Tomato.

Their tapenades are: Mild Olive and Sun-dried Tomato and Spicy Olive and Sun-dried Tomato.

I got to try two of their products which were Lemon Confit & Pumpkin Seed Aromatic Sauce and garden Pesto.

Garden Pesto was made of fresh basil, lemon zests, and touch of garlic. This one was SO GOOD with raw zucchini pasta. Because these products are in a form of tube, it is SO easy and convenient for cooking.

Another plus is that they can be frozen to keep the freshness.

I thought I was eating a gourmet meal when these sauces were added to my simple veggies.

From their site: La Maison Le Grand is a leader in the production of cold-processed sauces. Our products are inspired by both the gourmet quality of fine European cuisine and West Coast influence on healthy, natural foods. We combine tradition and innovation. Our motto is: “artisans of the third millennium!”

I am kind of sad that I only got to try two of their products because their other sauces and pestos look absolutely delicious. I love the fact that these ingredients do not have any preservatives and RAW!

Yes, it’s true that I could make my own sauces but sometimes it is just convenient to use the ones that are already made. Not to mention that these sauces TASTE good. YUM!

Campbell’s V8 Vegetable Blend gift basket

(picture borrowed from HealthyandSane blog!) I am so sorry but my camera is broken at the moment and I’m not sure when I’m going to get a new one. ><;

The winner will receive:

•           Campbell’s V8 Garden Vegetable Blend soup;
•           A Campbell’s V8 Soup Health Journal and vegetable shaped pens to keep track of your servings;
•           A Flip and Tumble shopping bag to stock up on vegetables; and
•           A Pedometer – to count your steps!

I did not get to try the soup because it has cheese in the ingredient list but my sister who tried the soup absolutely loved it. She says “it was full of REAL chunk of vegetables and flavor!” I am so happy that she loved it. THANK YOU campbell! Even though I didn’t get to try the soup, I really liked the Journal and cute pen they sent me. The pedometer is really cool too because you could leave it in your pocket and still works accurately and well!

GOOD LUCK and this giveaway ends on Saturday, November 28th. Day after black friday!!! (Who’s going shopping on Black Friday? anyone? i’ve never went shopping on black friday and i might this time. I’m eyeing that Lapbook!)

Also, did all of you guys watch New Moon? I am not sure if I’m going to yet but would like opinion if anyone watched it~

Solstice Bars

Need I say more? Solstice Goji Bars are so unique because they have dark chocolate sandwiched between. They are also vegan, made with many organic ingredients, and packed with whole grains, seeds, nuts, fruit, fiber, protein, and antioxidants.

Just look at that picture of the bar. Do you see that beautiful dark chocolate in the middle? It is dark luxury of Callebaut chocolate!!!

I could NOT wait to dig in when I received these in the mail couple weeks ago. These bars looked so pretty and not to mention it tasted so good! Okay, I admit that they were more on the “sweet” side than I would have imagined. BUT as you guys already know, this girl can’t handle sweet stuff (so probably for most ppl, these bars would be PERFECT sweet snacks!)

I really enjoyed the goji berries that were present throughout the bar.

There are THREE flavors: Mochadamia, dark choc& PB, and Dark choc with cherry & almond.

Although I don’t like coffee (or mocha) flavors, my favorite out of the three was Mochadamia. I even surprised myself! Mocha flavor was not too strong and it was very subtle compared to the YUMMMMMMY dark chocolate.

The only complaint I have for Solstice bars is that it really did not hold my hunger at all. I was hungry again after 10min. =( Perhaps maybe it’s just me with super fast metabolism.

Nevertheless, Solstice Goji Bars TASTED yummy and that’s what matters!

Here are description of each bars from their website:

Mochadamia: a sophisticated meal replacement that marries the dark luxury of Callebaut chocolate with the deep smokiness of organic espresso and the creamy crunch of roasted macadamia nuts. You won’t want to share this one with the kids!

Dark Choc & PB: a delectably classic combination, but the addition of dried apples, toasted cashews, and (of course) goji berries takes them to the next level of wholesome, lip smacking goodness.

Dark Choc with Cherry & Almond: A chewy, fruity bar, our DCCA combines goji berries with the richness of Callebaut dark chocolate, the tangy chew of Bing cherries, and the sweet nutty flavor of ground almonds.

Genuine Health: VEGAN proteins+ review/giveaway

Everyone, thank you so much for the wonderful comments/posts on my giveaways. I really appreciate all of your inputs and I’m going to try my best to incorporate them into my future posts~ I’m definitely thinking about doing more KABOCHA and other healthy recipes that I enjoy. Sadly, I can’t take any pictures at the moment because my camera broke… yeah, sad. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been using pictures from online or company’s page. =/ SO SORRY for this but pictures (from companies) are better than nothing, right? If I do get a new camera (I’m not sure when though…) I’ll definitely be taking up-close pictures of the items and how they look inside the packages. I’ve never realized this but I never really took pictures of the inner-products! Oops. Haha, I guess I don’t think about taking the pictures when I’m eating them.
