I did not bother to even think about trying coconut water because well simply, I’ve never liked anything “coconut”. I still don’t like coconut flakes or coconut-flavored products. However, because of the hype that went around the blogsphere about coconut-water and its powerful electrolytes, I was very intrigued.

ZICO is nature’s sports drink that provides 5 essential electrolytes, potassium, no fat and no added sugar.

Captured 100% pure in this convenient, environmentally friendly package, ZICO is simply the best tasting and most nutritious coconut water this side of the tropics.

I tried natural, passion fruit, and mango. I really enjoyed the natural flavor. I did like the other two but wasn’t crazy about them.

HOLY YUM!

Kay’s Natural products are gluten and wheat free, high in soy protein, low in calorie and carb, and provide good source of fiber.

These protein cereals were really good. I enjoyed them as it is but also with soymilk. What I didn’t like was that its first ingredient was soy protein isolate. Yes, it is “protein” but I’m not so fond of added protein or any protein isolate. Each bag has 9g of fiber with only 100 calories.

Same goes for this pretzel. It was yummy but its first ingredient was soy isolate. That explains the high protein content despite the low calories.

Although I liked the first two products, I did not enjoy these chips at all. I happily let my sister take them over ;)

What are your opinions on “added” protein source? Do you add protein powder to your meals? Or do you simply obtain protein from natural food sources?

PistachiOats provides snacks that are all-natural, cholesterol-free, preservative-free, and heart healthy. They absolutely taste GOOD and nutritious. They are very filling too because of the oats and flaxseed. I fell in love as the first two ingredients were pistachio nuts and rolled oats. How can it get better than that?

I enjoyed all three flavors, dark chocolate, blueberry, and original. The original ingredients include rolled pistachio nuts, rolled oats, honey, flaxseed meal, wheat farina, whole wheat flour, canola oil, egg whites, applesauce, pumpkin puree, wheat gern, oat bran, rose water, pistachioats spices, and vanilla.

My favorite way to consume these was on top of greek yogurt or as topping for oatmeal. They are not hard at all so it was easy to crumble them on top of anything.
If you like pistachio, go for them! You won’t regret a penny.
